The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) is the national trade association representing apparel, footwear and other sewn products companies and their suppliers, which compete in the global market and whose combined industries account for more than $225 billion in yearly retail sales. AAFA members also produce more than 85 percent of apparel and footwear sold at wholesale each year in the United States. AAFA members manufacture and market all types of apparel and footwear and are located in virtually every state, as well as internationally. The primary objective of the Council is to participate in the overseas fairs, Buyer-Seller-Meet and specialized programmes like Road shows. |

The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles (CCCT), established in 1988, is the leading national trade organization representing exporters and importers of textiles and clothing in China, with a membership of over 10,000 companies as of May, 2008. CCCT members, involved in the business of manufacturing, exporting and importing all kinds of textile fibers, yarns, fabrics, clothing, home textiles, industrial textiles and accessories, operate in 31 provinces and municipalities throughout the country, representing more than 70% of China's US$ 190 billion worth of trade in textile and clothing. |

China-Europe Textile Alliance (C.E.T.A.) In February 2005, the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry, the Swiss Textile Federation and the Federal Association of the Austrian Textile Industry put in place a project known as the China-Europe Textile Alliance (C.E.T.A.) under the aegis of GIC Shanghai. Later the Textile Industries from France, the Spanish Cotton System Textile Industry Association and the Federation of Finnish Textile and Clothing Industries also became active members of C.E.T.A. The aim of the C.E.T.A. project is to familiarize European companies in the textile and garments industry with the working practices of the Chinese textile industry, the Chinese production capacity, the distribution structure of the Chinese market and the channels for entering the market, etc.

The Clothing Industry Training Authority is established in Hong Kong under the Industrial Training (Clothing Industry) Ordinance. The Authority is a not-for-profit organisation and its principal activities are to provide training courses for the clothing industry, establish and maintain industrial training centres, assist in the placement of persons completing training courses and make recommendations with respect to the rate of levy. |

GIC-BCN: Gremi de les Industries de la Confecció de Barcelona was founded in 1921. It is an entity representing the Apparel Industry in Catalonia and the companies involved. It acts as an intermediary in all matters of interest between the Industry and its companies and Local, Autonomous, State, European and International Administrations, either directly and/or through other entities in which GIC-BCN participates or is an associate. It is therefore the professional lobby group of the Apparel Industry in Catalonia.

HKGCOT has listed companies and mainland flagship companies amongst its members. Most of HKGCOT members' primary businesses are in textiles: trading, manufacturing, printing, dyeing and garment manufacturing. |

The Hong Kong Retail Management Association (HKRMA) ,founded in 1983, is the major retail association in Hong Kong. International Apparel Federation (IAF) is a politically neutral global association, open to entrepreneurs and executives from the apparel chain worldwide. Its membership includes national clothing associations and companies whose core business is sourcing, designing, development, manufacturing, distribution, and retailing of apparel products. In addition the IAF welcomes, as associate members, educational institutions and companies that supply textiles, accessories, equipment, technology, and services to the apparel industry. The IAF is a worldwide knowledge network that collects and disseminates information, statistical, benchmarking and otherwise, on developments in apparel design, manufacturing, distribution, sourcing, trade and technology. |

Dutch Clothing & Knitting Industry Association (MODINT) is the Dutch trade association for fashion, interior design, carpets and textiles, an association with a clear mission.
The main task of MODINT is to strengthen the competitive power of the members and sectors they represent by means of a wide-ranging package of interest promotion and services, with the focus on content and quality. It goes without saying that MODINT continues to make every effort to expand our membership, in order to increase support and create a stronger competitive position.
MODINT is active in a great many fields to ensure that its members' interests are protected. These interests often converge in our active member groups, sections and working groups, which can count on the support of a professional organization. Most of MODINT's business services are incorporated into MODINT BV, in which the Consultancy and Credit Management activities play a major role.
The MODINT membership totals over 850 companies, active in the production of and trade in clothing, fashion accessories and (interior) textiles. They generate a joint annual turnover of EUR 8 billion, of which EUR 3,5 billion on export markets.

The Textile and Fashion Federation (TaFf) was formed through a collation of the textile and garment associations in 1981. Singapore’s textile and garment industry has since then transformed from a manufacturing base to be a regional fashion, marketing and sourcing hub. TaFf takes an active role in nurturing the next generation of talents, facilitate marketing and exportation of textiles and apparels to the world, promote the betterment of business practices through the adoption of advanced technology. We encourage participation in research, development, innovation and other enhancement activity or social projects which add value to the industry.

Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) was established on Nov. 25, 1975 with government guidance and support as with donations from the textile industry itself.
Over the years, the TTF has gradually adapted to meet the needs of the textile industry, expanding its functions to market promotion, product design, fashion information analysis, online information, technology training, collection and analysis of market information, certification of functional textiles, publications of textile information, issuance of Certificate of Origin, and other textile-related services.
In the past few years, TTF has developed a marketing strategy, entitled as "Fashion plus Functions", to promote Taiwan's innovative textiles in the global market. It also gained positive responses from those well known retailers and private labels in the world, especially in the field of sports wear, casual wear and outer wear.

The Textile Council of Hong Kong, as a body representing all major textile associations, acts as a voice for the textile industry on matters that affect the industry. Such matters mainly concern with commercial policies affecting Hong Kong's textiles exports such as quotas and anti-dumping actions, Hong Kong's textile export controls system, the employment ordinance, environmental rules and regulations, taxation and tariff etc. It also undertakes by itself or jointly with other organizations study missions, projects, seminars and other activities. |

The Union des Industries Textiles (The Union of Textile Industries) is a French professional association that unites the professional employers' groups of the industry:
Professional federations and branches: cotton, wool, linen, cordage and nets, mesh, silk, lace and embroidery, artificial and synthetic textiles, finishing... ; or regions: Aisne, Alsace, Champagne, Lorraine, South-Pyrenees, North, Normandy, Picardy, Rhone-Alps.
Representing the majority of the 1000 textile companies active in France, the UIT fulfils the three following objectives:
- to support its members in their development : innovation, RD, international development, acces to finance...;
- to define the lobbying strategy for the profession and to be the spokesman for the industry to the decision makers for all subjects of common interest: taxation, research and development, social rights, sales and marketing policy, exports and international development, industrial strategy, protection against counterfeiting...;
- to improve professionnal skills within companies: since 1994, 21000 young people have benefited from combined work/study contracts and more than 320 000 young trainees from continuing training. |

Its members include manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and related service providers, such as shipping lines and customs brokers. USA-ITA members account for over $61 billion in U.S. sales annually and source from around the world. |
